Study Abroad in Germany

Germany might seem like a long ways away, but many students are finding that ASU does a lot to shorten that distance. Being the nation’s largest university allows ASU to offer a wide range of international study programs. Right now ASU sponsors nine different programs designed to allow broke college students, like you, the opportunity to study and travel in Germany. The programs facilitate students looking for summer, semester, annual, and degree long commitments. In addition, the German language department faculty hosts a summer abroad program to Regensburg every summer.

Congress – Bundestag Youth Exchange

For over 20 years, the Congress – Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) – has given young Americans the oppertunity to spend one year culturally immersed in Germany. Through CBYX, you will attend a German university, complete a five-month internship in a German-speaking work enviroment, and live in a German home or student residence.

Summer Abroad – Regensburg

The ASU Summer Program in Regensburg, Germany, was founded by Professor John Alexander in 1986 and is the longest-running German summer abroad program at the university level in the state of Arizona. On this site you will find a wealth of information about courses offered, faculty, the application process, costs, and of course, the beautiful city of Regensburg itself.

Center for Global Education Services

The Center for Global Education Services (CGES) offers ASU students multiple study abroad and international exchange programs in Germany. CGES programs are available during the summer, fall semester, spring semester or full academic year. Participants in CGES programs earn ASU resident credit for their studies, so that they are not taking any time away from their normal degree progress.
